"I didn't think measures [by the police] were going to be that harsh," Mr Tee said. Before the incident, Mr Tee worked as a messenger, delivering documents around the Silom area. Despite sustaining his disability at the yellow-shirt protest, Mr Tee said he does not align himself with any political party. "A man told me that if I wanted some money, I would have to find 30 other people [to attend the protests]," Mr Tee said. Mr Tee blamed politicians for the violence that has resulted in political instability.
